Location: Interior Region EMS Council, Inc.
Class Price: $175.00

This is a blended learning course and covers the skills sign-off of the American Heart Association Heartcode ACLS course. You are expected to be proficient in BLS skills.

ACLS is geared towards healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies and for personnel in emergency response.

ACLS is an advanced course that builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR, and high-performance team dynamics.

Precourse Requirements

You are required to do the following:

  1. Complete the online ACLS Heartcode, print your certificate of completion and bring it with you to the course. https://shopcpr.heart.org/heartcode-acls
  2. Review and understand the information in your ACLS Provider Manual (you will gain access to this when you register for the Heartcode class as an E-book).
  3. Ensure that your BLS skills and knowledge are current for the resuscitation scenarios. You will be tested on adult high-quality BLS skills at the beginning of the ACLS skills check course. You must know this in advance because you will not be taught how to do CPR or use an AED.
  4. Print your scores (certificate) for the Precourse Self-Assessment and bring them with you to class. A passing score is 70% or above, and you can take the Precourse Self-Assessment as many times as needed to achieve a passing score.

You may also email your certificate to admin@iremsc.org before the class starts.

**Online courses must be purchased and completed separately. Please visit the American Heart Association website to complete your online class:elearning.heart.org
