This course is one of two courses required to provide the knowledge necessary to qualify an individual to become a State of Alaska ETT instructor. In order to qualify for this course, a person must have the following credentials or certifications:
1) The student must document having one year of experience (either past certification cards or a letter from their chief or medical director)
2) Currently licensed to practice EMS or as a Healthcare Provider in the State of Alaska
3) Current CPR certification
In order to be certified in Alaska as an ETT Instructor, an EMS or Healthcare Provider must also:
1) Successfully complete an EMS MOI course or its equivalent (Fire MOI 1 or 2, you hold a bachelor's in education or other State of Alaska Approved MOI courses). The NAEMSE Level 1 instructor course has been approved by the State of Alaska - Register for online NAEMSE class at: https://naemse.org/events/event_list.asp; Please note that NAEMSE classes fill quickly, so be sure to enroll in the Level 1 course ASAP.
2) Provide evidence of CPR instructor unless the state grants a waiver based on evidence that CPR taught as part of an EMS certification course will be taught by a valid CPR instructor credential.

1) Verification letter or document that attests to 1 year of EMS experience (i.e. initial license date, letter for Training Officer, Medical Director or Health Care entity.)
2) Copy of current EMS Provider or Health Care Provider License
3) Copy of current CPR Card
